Description: Business Development Manager
The Role
Torus PR is seeking a driven, energetic Business Development Manager to join the team.
As our Business Development Manager you will be responsible for creating new relationships within the blockchain technology industry, discussing potential clients’ needs, and general marketing of our public relations services. You will need to generate new leads and foster relationships with existing clients to drive repeat sales.
Principal Accountabilities
- Identify business opportunities, negotiate and close business deals and maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions, define long-term organizational strategic goals, build key customer relationships.
- Work strategically - seeking ways of improving the way the business operates.
- Attend seminars, conferences, and events to represent client projects.
- Keep abreast of trends and changes in the business world, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends.
- Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs.
- Work with the internal team and other managers to increase sales opportunities
- Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
- Plan approaches and pitches. Work with team to develop proposals that speak to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives.
- Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company’s unique selling propositions and differentiators.
- Present business development training and mentoring to business developers and other internal staff.
- Submit weekly progress reports.
- Forecast sales targets and ensure they are met by the team.
The Person
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree preferred. An MBA is an advantage.
- 5+ years of business development, sales, or marketing experience.
- Fluent English speaker. Multiple languages a plus.
- Extroverted, with the desire to speak at events. A great networker.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with drive and ambition.
- A strong sales track record, a proven ability to hit targets, and a consistent background of winning new business.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Self-starter who has the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and deal with pressure.
- Time management, organization, and customer service skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to articulate complex messages with simplicity.
- Ability to think strategically - seeing the bigger picture and setting aims and objectives to develop and improve the business.
- Strong Microsoft knowledge and the desire to learn more.
- Willingness to be on road 180+ days a year if needed.
- Good team player.
- Based in Tallinn, or interested in relocating there.
- A good book of contacts is also looked upon favorably.
